Live Love Laugh …

... even if it seems impossible on some days. When I was on my way home last night, a black sky moved over Munich.

One is stunned and powerless. You can only sit in front of the TV and watch a piece of the world break.

I mourn the people we lost yesterday and their loved ones.

I mourn for that People who have witnessed it and will carry around a piece of that deed forever.

I mourn for the ease that has been taken away from us.

Accept the kind of sadness of one each. Everybody processes such experiences differently. What good is it to us to evaluate the grief of others on Twitter, Facebook or Snapchat. Who feels more or less affected because he lives in Munich or in Timbuktu? We were all taken away yesterday and we all want to understand, process and express our grief. Let's do this together, heal each other, without the hatred, the powerlessness to fire each other.

I grieve, but I hate not.

As cruel and incomprehensible as the world may sometimes be, hatred and fear must never determine our lives.

If we can do something in this situation, it is to smile at our counterpart in the subway. To embrace a loved one. Forgive each other. Leave the old grandma in the supermarket priority at the cash register. To compliment a colleague. Enjoy life.

Spread more love and compassion.

Such an act can tear us apart or pull us together. After all the lovely messages and phone calls I received yesterday from my family, friends, readers and followers, I'm sure it will be the latter. Mosques and Munich people opening their doors. We have to concentrate on that. Counters all the bullshit that happens in the world with a smile, a hug and an open door.

Thanks to the Munich police and the rescue workers, who once again acted masterfully.

Because of you, I still feel in my beloved Munich safe and dahoam.
